Types of Engravings
There are several options for having your jewelry engraved. First of all, you can choose between the different types of jewelry. You can engrave a gold bracelet, but also a silver chain. It is important to choose a piece of jewelry that allows this. You have various pieces of jewelry that are made for engraving. For example, we have special plate bracelets, which are bracelets with a plate that can be engraved. You have these in both gold and silver. You also have beautiful gold and silver rings that you can have engraved on both the inside and the outside. We also have gold and silver engraved pendants. You can put this on a necklace, so that you have a beautiful meaning around your neck.
Mechanical engraving machine
We have a mechanical engraving machine in-house. This is a traditional way of engraving jewelry. This works with a pantograph, we follow a certain template and the milling machine follows that same pattern in a reduced form on the jewelry. With the engraving machine in house we can only engrave letters and numbers in two different fonts: block letters and decorative letters.

Laser engraving
You can choose to laser engrave your gold or silver jewelry. This is the most modern and innovative way of engraving. In this way you can engrave the most complicated and eccentric patterns, names, designs or designs into a piece of jewelry. The jewelry is first aligned under the laser. The laser then uses a beam of light to laser the engraving onto the surface of the jewelry in a few seconds.

Hand engraving
Another traditional way of engraving jewelry is hand engraving. A certified hand engraver will write the engraving into the piece of jewelry with a diamond stylus. With this method you have little choice between the fonts and it is also not suitable for logos, fingerprints, monograms and images. This is a method that used to be very popular, but is less and less used due to the rise of laser engraving.

Costs of Engravings
The fastest and most affordable method for engraving your jewelry is the in-house mechanical engraving machine. The setup costs are €5 and you also pay €0.50 per letter or number. For example, if you want to have 'Jan' engraved, this costs €5 + three times €0.50 = €6.50. When you buy a piece of jewelry from our store or webshop, this method is free of charge. You can leave the text for the engraved jewelry in 'comment'.
If you want a professional hand or laser engraving, this will cost at least €40. This can be slightly cheaper, but also more expensive. This depends on whether you only want a name engraved or a complete family coat of arms. You can always email us to inquire about a quote.
